Waxing Eyebrows for Men: Do or Don’t?
Published February 5, 2018
Not that long ago, men wouldn't set foot in a "salon" or "beauty parlor" that was often times associated as "women only" spots. Then came unisex hair salons, where men and women alike could get their hair colored, cut and styled.
Before we knew it, it became socially acceptable for men to get manicures and pedicures and enjoy salon-quality grooming -- including waxing!
Men's grooming and skin care have come a long way, and as time goes by, more and more men feel comfortable and confident enough to visit beauty salons to take advantage of the services that were once deemed exclusively for women.
But What About The Eyebrows?
Men aren't new to waxing, but there does seem to be some debate when it comes to the eyebrows. It's a known and accepted that the eyebrows are integral to your appearance, and a well-shaped brow can often do more for your appearance than make-up or hairstyle.
However, should men get their brows waxed? The general consensus says no. Many claim that if you want a natural look, waxing doesn't always deliver it, because waxing offers too clean of a line.
The Alternative
Absolutely put those brows in the hands of an experienced professional -- ideally a professional who has direct experience working with and styling men's brows. In general, men naturally have more facial hair than women.
Logic states that a heavy hand and some wax would solve the problem, but the result will not only look seriously unnatural -- but not very flattering, either!
Better to pluck than wax. Better to create shape, clean up and neaten the area. Go for gradual lines, not abrupt lines. This is the secret to men's eyebrow shaping and grooming.
