Neuroscience in Your Skincare: Here’s a Glimpse Into Shiseido’s New Product
Published February 9, 2018
Have you ever heard of ReNeura technology? You haven’t? Well, beauty and skincare brand Shiseido seeks to make this technology a household name. This blend of skincare and neuroscience is the big selling point of the brand’s new product, Shiseido Essential Energy.
Here’s everything you need to know about this big news in skincare.
What Is Shiseido Essential Energy?
Shiseido Essential Energy is one of the latest products from Shiseido, a beauty and skincare brand based in Japan. This moisturizing cream is anything but ordinary, though. Debuted at the Shiseido Ginza Building this month, the biggest difference between regular moisturizing creams and Shiseido Essential Energy is the addition of ReNeura Technology.
What’s ReNeura Technology?
Here’s where things get a little complicated but very cool. ReNeura technology combines neuroscience and skincare for one smart little product.
Most of the target audience that buys Shiseido’s products are more than 30 years old. These women have often used skincare products for decades at this point. Whether it’s good, old-fashioned sunscreen, acne products in their teens and 20s, or anti-wrinkle treatments as they turn older, they’re very accustomed to pots and potions.
Shiseido says that the frequent use of these various skincare products can deaden the skin in a way. Skin may not react as strongly to new products after so many years.
ReNeura technology changes that. Skincare products with this technology are made specifically to work on the skin of customers who have spent years using other products.
How does this work, exactly? The inclusion of an active response powder plays a major role. The powder is comprised of small spheres. Such a powder can “notice,” so to speak, when skin damage and other changes are occurring and then increase the skin’s senses.
What Are Its Benefits?
There are plenty of benefits of Shiseido’s product. As you get older, you typically have to start spending more on skincare to fight wrinkles and other signs of aging. If you’re paying the full price for these skincare products but they’re not at their full efficacy, you’re wasting your money.
With Shiseido’s Essential Energy, you know the product you buy will work its best each time you use it. By 2018, the brand plans on adding more products to its lineup with ReNeura technology, including a day cream, a day emulsion, and a moisturizing gel cream.
